Log Stairs for your home

From this point, we will make a log stairs and furnish it through. We will also add a railing or railings, and then we will take some interior designing to finish our log stair. In here, making our log stair is almost automatic. But then we should consider the following:
Materials:
Logs, plywood
Nails
Polish paint or varnish
Carpet
Staple wire

Tools:
Saw
Chisel
Hammer
A nail gun
Framing square
Measuring tools: rulers, type measure, meter stick
Two Steel brackets, two cleat brackets, and one spacer for each step

STEP 1 – ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS
In this project we will use a self – locking Stringers to make some things fit automatically together, this self – locking Stringers do away 80% of trimming work which is required in making a more complicated yet simple log stairs. The single log of the self – locked stringers has a designed edge that is providing an automatic assembly of stringers but still we have to cut its edges to the right angle.

STEP 2 – PUTTING IT TOGETHER
Now the stingers are now ready, but double check it before placing steel brackets. It may have some gap left and if there is any, you may use the hammer and chisel to carve it gently so that it will not leave any room for gaps. After this, you are now ready to place the steel brackets but then configure our spacer to the desired height and then arrange neatly the steel brackets. Nail the steel brackets into place but first use the framing square to achieve the perfect angle. After the steel brackets were placed it is time to put the risers nailing it to the stringers and then place the cleat brackets in place before placing the treads into its position.

STEP 3 – INSTALLING THE LOG STAIR TO THE HOUSE
The finish log stair is ready to be installed to the house, place now the stair into its rightful position and add beams of log nailing it underneath the stair’s inclination to support the newly installed log stair in bearing load weights.

STEP 4 – INTERIOR DESIGNING THE LOG STAIR
Now, the log stair is installed in the house. It is now the time of making the log stair at home to its place. First, we will put the railings along with it. Before we forget, use curtains or plywood to conceal the underneath of the log stair or be decorative as you are. Cut the plywood into the size and number against the risers and treads of the log stairs. Afterwards place the cut plywood in place, covering the original risers and threads. It is time to polish the art work, use paints that are complement to the paint of the house or else apply a varnish so that it will look natural. Lastly, to add some gesture to your log stair we will put a carpet but do not cover the entire steep with it but make an extra space big enough.
